ROAD TOURS!
The Central Missouri Lake of the Ozarks area is filled with enjoyable road tour opportunities!!  We had a hard time deciding which would be the most popular. Of course, you can go explore on your own, but here are a few we suggest. Some of the maps are in color so we suggest you print them at home and bring them with you. We won't have cheap color printing available at the hotel.

  1. Route 66 - The Mother Road!!    We suggest you leave Osage Beach on Missouri 42 headed east, meet US 63 at Vienna and turn east. 10 miles from Vienna take the Missouri 68 exit which will take you to At. James where you can start following the directions for Route 66 all the way to Lebanon, MO where you can pick up Missouri 5 headed north to Camdenton then turn right on US 54 back to the hotel in Osage beach. This is pretty much an all day tour if you stop at attractions along the way. Don't miss the view at Devil's Elbow!! There are also some award winning wineries around Saint James and Rolla! Get your maps and directions here...     MAP1        MAP2

  2. Wineries Tour One!  Hermann, Missouri, a German American area and the Missouri Rhineland!

  3. Wineries Tour Two!  Saint James, Missouri, an Italian American settled are and Historic Route 66!

  4. Caves Tour!  This one is a great one during the hot weather!  There are three caves in the Lake of the Ozarks area where you can get underground and away from the heat in addition to the beauty of the caves themselves.  Ozark Caverns is located in Lake of the Ozarks State Park north of MO-A. Bridal Cave is just off MO-5 a couple miles north of Camdenton. The third is Jacob's Cave which is farther north on MO-5 through Gravois Mills and turn right on MO-TT.

  5. Digital Picture Scavenger Hunt Tour!  Here's some fun you can have with a digital camera and your Spridget! Over 20 clues to solve and bring back as a pictoral record.  A nice award for the one who gets the most points!  Click and print the list of clues and the rules.
